What are the best free programs to use to clear your computer of viruses?

My mozilla foxfire wont open anymore and my current browser runs at about 76k constantly. My pop up blocker constantly blocks pop up ads on websites like ebaumsworld for some weird reason. I know I got the viruses from downloading torrents but how can I make sure I get rid of them all after I deleted the music?

I had a problem like this. McAfee wouldn't fix it. I had to use Microsoft Onecare, or whatever it's called. But in general, it's Microsoft products that hackers attack. But try OneCare. It worked for me. I'm still in the free trial mode, BTW.What are the best free programs to use to clear your computer of viruses?
Just buy McAfee it's worth the money or if you have Comcast like I do do they give you the full McAfee Security suite for free. You can download it off their website.
