Does your internet browser automatically clear your history if your computer goes to sleep?

I left my computer, with about a day's worth of history on Safari, asleep for an hour or two. Did Safari automatically clear my history, or would someone have had to do it manually?Does your internet browser automatically clear your history if your computer goes to sleep?
