My computer is set to clear its memory when turned off, how to i stop it?

Basically, i was assigned this computer, and as a safety measure, whenever it is shut off, everything on it is cleared. Settings, backgrounds, programs, everything. The only thing saved is a small 500 MB drive, the T Drive, which is set aside for me to save papers and such to. Do you know how to stop it from clearing everything so that settings, as well as music and programs, can be added to the computer? 500 MB is just to little to work with.My computer is set to clear its memory when turned off, how to i stop it?

Its called a mandatory profile and a user cannot change it. Please the IT demi-gods for additional security rights otherwise live with it.
if this is a work/school computer - you will not be able too. it will be against policy.
