How do completely clear a computer.?

how do you clear all private files. How do completely clear a computer.?
Format the hard drive. It's a very simple procedure.

Step by step on how to do it...http://www.build-your-own-computers.com/鈥?/a>How do completely clear a computer.?
you need a bit more info here.

if you want to completely clear a computer, you'll need to Format your drive, this will get shot o EVERYTHING. like everything.

as for clearing private files, find the stuff you want to get shot of, then fire them into the bin, then empty it.

you can still get em back from there but it takes some working to get it.
Click to open Computer Management. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

In the Navigation pane, under Storage, click Disk Management.

Right-click an unallocated region on your hard disk, and then click New Simple Volume.

In the New Simple Volume Wizard, click Next.

Type the size of the volume you want to create in megabytes (MB) or accept the maximum default size, and then click Next.

Accept the default drive letter or choose a different drive letter to identify the partition, and then click Next.

In the Format Partition dialog box, do one of the following:

If you don't want to format the volume right now, click Do not format this volume, and then click Next.

To format the volume with the default settings, click Next.

Review your choices, and then click Finish.
boot into safe mode by tapping away at f8 until you reach a screen with options like ';safe mode with networking'; or ';start windows normally';. choose safe mode, this will only load the basic windows drivers, so the trojan will be inactive, almost in a kind of suspended animation, and if it's slow there, it will at least be faster than normal. SOMETIMES A BLACK SCREEN POPS UP WITH TEXT RUNNING DOWN IT, DO NOT PANIC, THIS IS NORMAL, SO JUST WAIT UNTIL THE LOGON SCREEN APPEARS. THEN ONCE YOU ARE IN GO TO THE START MENU AND TYPE IN SYSTEM RESTORE. this is a utility that allows you to roll back your computer to an earlier state (it saves an image of the hard drive and uses that, anyway) so fire that up, and use it to roll the system back to an earlier date, GO WITH THE DATE THAT YOU LAST REMEMBERED YOUR COMPUTER WORKING AND HAVE IT GO BACK TO THAT DATE. now this will take a while, longer than an hour, so find an alternate source of entertainment while it is rewriting the hard drive. NOTE IF THE START MENU DOES NOT LOAD, OR TAKES A VERY LONG TIME TO LOAD, JUST BRING UP THE TASK MANAGER WITH CTRL+ALT+DELETE, AND UNDER THE APPLICATIONS TAB, SELECT START NEW TASK, AND TYPE IN ';system restore'; note that it could take a while to start up, so just be patient and wait. once it does, then just follow the steps I gave you. and also if you wipe the memory, the trojan will come off, along with everything else on the drive, including windows, so you're going to need to reinstall it. BUT ONLY DO THAT IF THE SYSTEM RESTORE METHOD FAILS.

having gone through the same problem with my sister's laptop. ******************note that once you go through this it should be fine, but it never hurt to be cautious. once you're back in, the first thing you should do is download firefox, it's safer and faster than internet explorer. then once you download that, get the mcafee siteadvisor plugin, this handy little piece of s*** will tell you if a site is safe to use or not, I find it very useful. the next step would be to update your antivrus software, and update it, and then run a scan. although if it let this happen, I suggest kicking it to the curb and getting something more trustworthy, like kaspersky or bitdefender. and then this somewhat unnecessary, but itll help you a bit. GO TO THE START MENU AND TYPE IN msconfig, then click on the startup programs tab. turn off anything you don't need to start up, like itunes, shareaza, limewire, and the like. BUT IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS OR IF IT SOUNDS IMPORTANT, THEN LEAVE IT ALONE. and also delete any apps and programs that you never use, like if you don't use bittorrent anymore. and FINAL STEP is to set the appearance of everything so that it looks like windows 2000. turn off unnecessary effects like transparent windows and all of those effects. it might not look as good, but what matters more to you? performance, or speed? once you're done with all of this, you should be good to go. hope that helps!!!!! ^____________________^
Well, your going to have to go and search for everything you want to delete. Or completely erase everything on your computer. Which is called formatting it. If you format your computer you would have to reinstall your operating system also.
