How do I clear the recent document history on my computer?

I share a computer with some people and I save my work in a locked folder, but if I go to ';recent documents'; what I'm working on is right there for someone to open. Is there a way to clear that without deleting the work?How do I clear the recent document history on my computer?
Right click the taskbar , select properties , and then select start menu then click customize and click clear list from here it will erase all documents list recently usedHow do I clear the recent document history on my computer?
