Any way to clear everything from computer?

I just bought another laptop from a co-worker and it has alot of stuff downloaded music,pictures,alot of other stuff i don't want he didn't have any disc or anything to go with it is there any way to clear the laptop of everything and start over?Any way to clear everything from computer?

You will then need to reinstall Windows or the operating system of your choice, which is not a lot of fun, but you can do it.
