The Department of Defense uses this software http://dban.sourceforge.net/
Two possibilities -- use the Install Disk with the reformat option, or maybe you have a Recovery Partition which is accessed with the F10 key during Windows boot-up. Press the key repeatedly, and you will be presented with Recovery Options. Choose Destructive Recovery, or Format and Reinstall.
If you have any security Trialware, REMOVE IT! Get the Full Version. For Norton Products, you MUST download and run the Norton Removal Tool from the Symantec.com Support Pages.
