I can't find another CPU to use, so can I use a computer that someone uses on a daily basis?Will installing FreeNAS on my computer clear my computer?
FreeNAS is an Operating System. It will not run when you are running Windows, and Windows will not be on when you are running it. You could install it on an external drive, but there would be problems with the bootloader.
FreeNAS is for Network Attached Storage. It would be worthless because if you were using the computer FreeNAS would not be on.
