Can you explain more fully what your problem is so that we can help... Where are you getting the message that your computer has no DMA? Do you have a program open? Are you trying to do something at the time it happens? Will it boot up to Windows/Linux/Max OS (presuming it'll be Windows you have)?
First thoughts are hard drive...
Edit begins...
OK, the ';no DMA'; is referring to the DVD burner. Which software are you using to burn the DVD? Nero? Windows own?My computer has no DMA, can i download it or will i have to clear my computer and reinstall all the hardware?
what cd-rom drive do you have? if it has no DMA capabilities at all then there is no way to enable DMA.
just to check you are correctly trying to enable dma:
In device manager right click on your CD Rom Drive%26gt; Properties %26gt; Settings tab %26gt;
in the Options section, You will see a white box next to DMA.
tick this white box to enable the high speed DMA transfer setting.
Check that your bios settings are not set to disable dma.
If in the past you have had a certain amount of dma errors windows will disable dma, and the only way to enable it is to uninstall your cd-rom player then reinstall in device manager. You should then be able to enable dma again.
There is a way to force dma using a registry edit, you could google for that, im not prepared to put it here as i dont know if your cd-rom has dma capabilities, and wouldnt like to be responsible for any adverse effects from editting the registry.My computer has no DMA, can i download it or will i have to clear my computer and reinstall all the hardware?
If your computer has no Direct Memory Access capability then you don't have a computer.
