How do you clear out your computer?

Im donating my computer because I got a new windows vista equipped one. The only thing is i don't know how to get rid of all my stuff off of it, like programs, documents, and all that mumbo jumbo that is stored deeep within the computer. How do i clear the computer completely?How do you clear out your computer?

Before you give your computer away. You should make sure its clean. And you should not donate the computer until you have performed a ';secure delete'; of the hard drive contents and free space. A secure delete encrypts all the information on magnetic media, thats your hard drive. Then deletes the information making it unreadable. It does this several times to make to make the information unreadable.
