How do i clear everything off my computer and start over like new?

i have a bug it gives me a blue background %26amp; it turned off my firewall %26amp; wont let me turn it back onHow do i clear everything off my computer and start over like new?
Since no one really answered your question, here I go, 1st off, like they said before me, RELIESE EVERYTHING WILL BE ERASED! So save important Items with G-friend's email :P or Memory cards.

Now, insert your Windows XP disk. Turn off then on your comp. Click a key tto start from disk, you will enter the setup, you wanna reinstall windows, where you go to do that it will tell you that installing it twice is bad.

Say ok and choose a Drive to install it in, it will now ask if you want to format computer, choose full format, and boom it will erase everything.

After the Shut off then turn on and let it run regularly, don't press any keys, it will go to the windows xP setup on it's own and it will install it, when it's done, install all drivers onto your comp. ( can be found at comp.'s website hopefully )

And there ya go, install internet and you're all good! How do i clear everything off my computer and start over like new?
start over? you need to do a system restore...try and recover back to the date before it started doing that...if that doesnt work...you can do a system recovery...which will basically start you from the begening (like a freshly bought computer)
Go to your control panel on the start menu. Go to system properties and select the system restore tab. Set a date to restore to. This will wipe out all things back to that date. Don't lose anything you don't want to.
well u can try to format ur pc and then start off like e new one.But back up ur data first and then do so.u can save all ur data on one of the drives of ur harddisk, and then format.
Here are the instructions. Realize that if you do this, you will be deleting everything (all the music, pictures, videos, etc) off your computer. So if you have anything like that you want, be sure to copy it to a CD first.

Put the Windows CD into your CD drive

Boot up the PC and the Windows install should begin

Continue until after you have done the F8 to agree

You will be prompt to create a partition for installing Windows

Format the drive using NTFS (this will wipe everything)

Let the setup continue from there...
If you still have the CD that came with you'r computer? than it real easy. Go to control panel, and erase everything. Then with your CD, you can reprogram it again. Be Aware. you'll lose everything you have in the Pc!!
With that you need to boot up in DOS mode and reformat you hard drive. If you don't know how I would locate someone that does and get them to help you.
If you're running anything by Norton Symantec, uninstall it first and see if the problems clear up. DO NOT contact them for support if you value anything on your hard drive right now.

What kind of computer do you have? Presuming it's a prebuilt like a Dell or HP, etc., you should have a ';System Restore'; disk that came with the computer and you should run that. Just make sure you back up any personal files you want to keep first.

Also, if it's a prebuilt system and has anything Norton Symantec on it after you've restored and restarted your system, you need to uninstall it. For anti-virus I've been using AVG on this computer for over almost a year now and so far, no problems at all. My computer running Norton - well, it's being fixed right now due to poor programming and support on Norton's part. I'm praying the ';experts'; are able to retrieve my data.
Before you do that, you have to realize that EVERYTHING will be gone. But if you still want to do that than you have to erase your hard drive.
