you can just go to a mechanic such as muffler man and they should have a computer that will reset everythingHow do you reset the computer (and clear all engine codes) on a 2001 Honda Accord 3.0 Liter V6 coupe?
you can not clear the codes on that year model by pulling the battery cable of that only works on 90-93 accored and on 94-97 if its not a fixed code you will need a OB2 scanner you need to find a shop that has one honda will charge you 70.00 just to scan it. on a 2001 its probley your O2 sen hetter the one in the caddy if you replace it the light may go off the next time you start the car when it self checks its self but it would be better if you had it scaned to find out the real problem...... now if its your manec required light you tuen the car off press and hold the rest button the one for your trip then turn the key on while holding the button after about 10 - 15 seconds it will rest this comes on about every 4 to 6 thousand miles to ensure you are mantaning the car its just an anoance honda put on there to make moneyHow do you reset the computer (and clear all engine codes) on a 2001 Honda Accord 3.0 Liter V6 coupe?
Go to Auto Zone, they will do it free.
i own a repair shop, and on this new of a model you cant do it by taking the battery cable off of it,you,ll have to take it to an auto zone and they can do it for free its a good service they provide to there customers, and they can clear it off for you,any other shop can too,but they may charge a fee for doing it,good luck i hope this help,s.
remove the battery cable neg or positive for at least 1 hr and it will reset the computer
Well there are 2 different ways to accomplish that. One is to put a scan tool on it and clear the code from the ECM. Two is to open the hood and locate the underhood fuse box, then remove the back-up fuse for 30 seconds. This will erase all the memory. But if you pull the back up fuse it will reset the factory radio and you will need the radio code to turn the radio on again. Now I can get you the code if you can get the serial number of the radio if you need it.
